The Perfect Pair: Leopard + Floral

Jenna Lyons famously once said that leopard is a neutral, a print you can actually pair with just about anything. The latest striking combination to give that adage a try is floral and leopard worn together. With a bit of Winter still standing and a first step into spring, the two actually even eachother out.  Two prints doesn't seem to be too much, but rather they each embolden the other - the perfect trend to try right now.

How To Wear: Tie Dye

When it comes to conventional thinking, tie dye probably seems like a hard look to pull off - least of all during Winter. Yet somehow the vivid print of this tie-dye maxi skirt looks perfectly suited for the season when paired with a black moto jacket and black streamlined boots. It's got a print that still pops and can definitely be worn year round, but the neutral pairing makes it workable for the snow-covered season.

Every Shade of Grey

I've been spending an ample amount of time sorting through street style snaps from Fashion Week in New York and now in London and Milan. I came across this pic and I loved how her subtly grey hair (which somehow looks really chic on her), is just a subtle shade lighter than the blazer and slightly ragged scarf. The faint coordination looks pulled together but not trying too hard, and makes grey hair look better than I've ever seen.

Spotted: The Most Insane Knits from Band Of Outsiders

Right now is one of my favorite times of year. I love poring over the photos from Fashion Week and saving my favorites for later inspiration. This one from Band of Outsiders looks like one of the most luxe knit looks ever. From the delicate ruching (How do they do that??) to the combo of heather grey knit on knit, it's everything you want to cozy up in. This is a look that I'll def be referencing as we head into this Fall.

A Little Winter Color

It seems like every bag I've bought in the last few years has either been navy or black. Not even tan or brown, simply navy and black. Versatile and fairly seasonless, it's all I can muster. But then I see a photo like this and all I want is a colorful bag to bring a bit of bright to my Winter look. From the two-tone color blocked bag to the beautifully bright green croco insert, it's a breath of fresh air--and enough to maybe put the black in the back of the closet for a bit.

Street Style Inspiration of the Day

I'm proud to admit that I really like fur. I don't have my own, but I dream about what my favorite style would be. This beautiful woman captured on the streets of Paris during couture is just one of the many I'd gladly wear. I love that she's working the Winter white with a soft, light palette that pairs softly with the fur. It's not an overwhelming coat, but rather a chic jacket that is perfect for everyday - yes, every day. I even think it'd be perfect over an all-black ensemble, that color and shape is just so neutral and wearable.

Karen Walker Does Kenya

The obsessive internet shopper in me likes to always see what the top sellers are each week. Shopbop makes it easy by putting them all on one page you can peruse. One of the things I find fascinating (aside from Tory Burch continuing to kill it with those damn flats), is that each week Karen Walker eyewear takes up at least 2 out of the 4 top eyewear sales. She's got a high-fashion look at a moderate eyewear price. Her latest campaign shows why she's so cool. She partnered with the United Nations' ITC Ethical Fashion Initiative and has put her glasses on some native artists. The result is simply stunning.
